New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers’ Community
Outreach Program has signed on as the local Bergen County affiliate for Red
Ribbon Week October 23-31. This month
they will be spreading the message, “a healthy me is drug free.”
Dr. Daniel Margolin, DPM has implemented the
Foundation for a Drug-Free World Bergen County Chapter as a way to help out the
youth in northern New Jersey.
He encourages students to get involved with the Red Ribbon
campaign by entering the photo contest to win an iPad2 and $1,000 for their
school. To enter visit www.redribbon.org/contest/enter.
According to the National Family Partnership,
parents who talk to their children regularly about drugs are 42 percent less
likely to use drugs than those who don’t, but only 25 percent of teens report
having these conversations.
Take this month to raise awareness about the death
and destruction drugs cause in America.
