Oradell,
NJ—New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center is gearing up to celebrate Medical Assistants Recognition Week, October 21-25, as designated by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Medical assistants across the country
will be recognized during this special week and honored on Medical Assistants Recognition Day, October 23.
In
celebration of Medical Assistants Recognition Week, New Jersey Foot and AnkleCenter has planned to commemorate all medical assistants in their practice, raise
awareness of this invaluable profession and encourage other medical facilities
to do the same.
“The
medical assistants are the backbone of the practice. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to help so
many people with such a high quality of service. I am happy to give thanks to them this week,”
says Dr. Maryellen Brucato, DPM of New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center.
Medical assisting is an allied health profession whose practitioners function as
members of the health care delivery team and perform administrative and
clinical procedures. With their unique versatility, medical assistants are
proving to be the allied health professional of choice for this decade and
beyond. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical
assisting continues to be projected as one of the fastest growing occupations.
The
AAMA is the premier organization serving the professional interests and
educational needs of medical assistants. It provides numerous services that
help medical assistants put their careers on a successful and rewarding track
and keep them there.
