Oradell Podiatry Practice Scores Angie's List Repeat

New Jersey Foot and Ankle's second consecutive Super Service Award 'could really be considered one of the highlights of my career,' says Dr. Daniel Margolin.

New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center has earned the Angie's List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the consumer review service in 2013.

"Winning the Super Service Award the first time was incredible," said Dr. Daniel Margolin, who owns the surgery and sports medicine practice.  "Winning it for a second year in a row could really be considered one of the highlights of my career.  There is no greater reward than feeling like your efforts have benefited a large number of people.  I am very proud of my staff who have really come together as a team to make this award possible."

Margolin has been in practice for over 25 years.  He has spent over three years as chair of the Department of Podiatric Surgery at St. Peters Hospital and is currently on staff at Valley Hospital.  Locally, he is known for his Community Outreach Program, including his Shoes for the Needy campaign and sponsoring of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World Bergen County Chapter.

"Only about 5 percent of the companies New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center competes with in New York City-Tristate Area Market are able to earn our Super Service Award," said Angie's List Founder Angie Hicks. "It's a mark of consistently great customer service."

Angie's List Super Service Award 2013 winners must meet strict eligibility requirements, according to the service provider rating website. These include meriting an "A" rating in overall Angie's List grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie's List, have a fully complete profile, pass a background check and abide by Angie's List operational guidelines. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.

New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center Raise Money for Jefferson Starship Guitarist

New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center Helps Rockstar Get Back on His Feet

A benefit concert was held for Slick Aguilar, lead guitarist of Jefferson Starship.  As an attempt to help Aguilar get back on his feet, podiatrist Daniel Margolin ran a fundraiser with his staff and patients to contribute to the cause.

Aguilar has been entertaining his fans for over forty years and continued to do so until he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and required a liver transplant in July 2013.  This debilitating disease affected his ability to perform, contributing to high medical bills and living expenses for his family.

The intimate show featured Lou Gramm, the voice of Foreigner, and Marty Balin, from Jefferson Airplane/Starship, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.  Through a close friend, Margolin of New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center in Oradell felt the need to do more than just attend the event.

Over a two week period, New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers ran an online competition.  At the office, staff members encouraged patients to join the competition and donate towards the cause.   They raised over 250 dollars for Aguilar and have not stopped there.

From now until April 30, New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center will continue the collection.  All proceeds will go towards Aguilar's ongoing health management and treatment.  If you have any questions, please call them at 201-261-9445.
