New Jersey Foot & Ankle Center Hosts Electronic Waste Drive for CASA for Children of Bergen County

Released July 2, 2013

Oradell— According to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children case supervisor Chrystal Henion, more than 100,000 children are reported abused or neglected in New Jersey.

Dr. Daniel Margolin, DPM and staff at the New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center will be running an ink cartridge and used cell phone drive to help the children in CASA for Children of Bergen County.

CASA for Children is an independent, non-profit organization comprised of professionals and volunteers who advocate for those in foster care.  Their vision is to ensure that children who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological torment or abandonment have a voice in the court proceedings that determine their fates.  They would like to make it possible for every abused or neglected child from Bergen County to be served by a well-trained and well-supervised CASA volunteer.

Dr. Margolin is happy to support foster children in need.  “Being a child in today’s world is difficult enough, but what about the children with no formal support system?  It is important to facilitate foster children in their formative years so they have stability and hope for a better life.  The volunteers at CASA are making this happen,” said Dr. Daniel Margolin, DPM of New Jersey Foot and Ankle Center.

Anyone can donate to this cause, by dropping off used ink cartridges and cell phones to New Jersey Foot and Ankle Centers.  This will be helping the environment by recycling, as well as assisting the children of CASA Bergen County to be moved towards safe and permanent homes.
